Paradise Factory, January 1998

Photos from Paradise Factory, on a night out with Andy K. I first went in 1995, when still getting my head round coming out. Loved it, amazing atmosphere and music, made being gay seem so cool. Met some fantastic people that am still mates with today. Looked forward to Friday and Saturday nights, then Breakfast Club at Mantos. The door policy was strict sometimes to keep the place as lesbian and gay as possible. I remember one time the door staff asking this lad what gay magazines he read, he answered 'err gay monthly...' and got turned away. Top floor was gay and bisexual women only for a few years, but by this point the loft was mixed.
