“Thanks for adding this! I was at this gig and I remember it as absolutely electrifying. I don't recall the jeering lads or the screaming girls, but I do recall the febrile, almost hysterical atmosphere. I was right down the front, second row and it was quite difficult to stay on my feet as the lads deliberately lurched from side to side and pressed forward so hard I thought they'd break my ribs. Going to gigs as a young woman in those days was quite challenging - men always took the opportunity to feel you up when you were penned in the crowd and unable to move your arms to give them a slap! But despite the usual nonsense from the lads in the audience, I remember stumbling out onto Oxford Street feeling completely intoxicated, and as if I could die happy that very night (I was 20!)”
