Manchester Stanza Lab

Manchester Stanza Lab showcased poets from the UK punk and post-punk scene during the early 80’s. Notable guests known for their performance-driven and ’ranting’ style delivery included Sean Bonney and Steven Wells. Some lyricists from northern punk / new wave bands (Buzzcocks frontman Pete Shelley, The Fall’s Marki E Smith and ”Sticks” Adler of the Thunderboys to mention a few) became occasionally involved, either in a supportive capacity or by gracing Mancs Stanza Lab stage events with readings of their own.
