“Abdul Forsyth & Charlie Dark missed their flight due to over zealous airport security and met 2 Scousers, who needing to get back to Liverpool went and hired a car and drove them both to Manchester in about 2 hrs. Charlie told the story on the mic and the Scousers got a cheer from the crowd - this may never have happened before in Manchester...”

“There are certainly a number of other bands from Manchester on this, I can't be sure which apart from C.P.Lee, Tentigo, M.C. International and Snake Davies. Other notable acts in this programme include Will Gaines the American Jazz Tap Dancer and American Rag Time Pianist Dick Welstood.”

“The current schedule means that BotW will reopen in September 2008, We will be replacing the carpet - it sure wasn't that pleasant but it makes the sound so much better, plus it must be the coolest carpet this side of Persia. “That was nice of them, those windows had survived fom 1897 - I still have the window from the ladies although that is in several pieces now also, but the gents window must have been thrown away when your mate broke it. I would like to get reproductions made for the new venue, the originals wouldn't be allowed anyway because of fire regulations.”
“I tried it a few years, when Oasis were at their height of fame - I would have given them a gig, but its disconnected, (having said that it could have been reassigned and we don't want to confuse some poor person who has the number now.)”
“The George and Dragon Hotel as it was originally called was known as "Band on the Wall", "Band in the Wall" Band on t' Wall", "Band on Wall", so he is right in a way but different people called it slightly different names - they all meant the same thing though.”
“There is no doubt that this is Band on the Wall. This is probably one of the gigs that ACR played with Joy Division, the bands played here on Monday 4th September 1978 and Tuesday 26th September 1978.”
