“John Tracy. I remember PIPS very well. I think most people who were fortunate enough to have been around 1976>>1979 and into the new wave of punk/Bowie and Roxy music and the rest must have enjoyed PIPS as there was nothing quite like it back then. Or even a decade later when we opened it as the KONSPIRACY! A dream come true for me at least. Still had my name carved into the wall of the caves. And Al 10! Actually found out who the guy was that had the sign under his bed. My friend Glynn Broadhurst (sharing admin with me on MANCHESTER.OLDSKOOL.RAVERS. Group) he still has it. ????”

“The guy you talk about who played live jazz and blues in the basement was Victor Brox! He actually had a slot there ever Friday night for over 8 months or so. But because the basement was so hard to find, even more difficult to remember where it was once you had found it a lot of people didn't even know it existed. He was brilliant! Bringing the blues to a rave club each Friday was definitely unique. M.M.”
