LATE NEWS:Z:- LUDUS have signed to Richard (Buzzcocks) Boon’s New Hormon management. They have been supporting The Buzzcocks on their current tour. MANICURED NOISE are another manchester band currently on a national tour –supporting The Pop Group and ATV.
CITY FUN records is still trying to get it’s [obscured] band sorted out. There will be a benefit for City Fun on Musicians Collective night tues 15x th May at Band On The Wall.
CITY FUN: BACK ISSUES:- 10p + stamped addressed envelope No’s 1-4 available. Missed from the ‘editorial’ :- thanks to Irene, Donna, Sheryl, Jon the Postman and the people whove helped with selling in the russel club.
CITY FUN is hoping to find a regular printers and then become fortnightly. (believe it when you see it!!). This issue would have been out a week ago were it not for printing fuck-ups. As it is there are 3 pages missing. They will be in the next issue. City Fun is printed and published by City Fun. Everything in it is copy-right. If your skint or dont have much money print what you want. If your rich, IPC magazines, CBS, Spotlight Publications etc we want some cash and to be contacted beforehand.
Manchester Musicians Collective L.P. –on Object Music should be released at the end of april. Featuring 11 bands:- FAST CARS, FIREPLACE, MANCHESTER MEKON, I.Q. ZERO, PROPERTY OF…, SLIGHT SECONDS, FT INDEX, PICTURE CHORDS, GROW UP, THE VIBRANT THIGH and one other band who’s name i don’t yet know.
T.J.M. records have just signed DIRECT HITS. and are making approaches to PRIVATE SECTOR. Street rumour has it that anyone who Knows someone who once saw a guitar is now on TJM. Should find out exactly who’s on TJM for the next issue (if you care!!).
