Programme for Granada TV's Celebration 15/25 Festival which started 30 years ago today.
I can only recall going to the gig on the first evening featuring New Fast Automatic Daffodils, The High and The Charlatans which obviously didn't have the same atmosphere as a normal gig (everyone remained seated for the New Fads) but not bad for a freebie.

“I was part of this Festival. Granada wrote to me out of the blue saying I'd been recommended as an upcoming poet.
They filmed me doing one of my poems and it was broadcast on one of the evening shows.
I went along to the Festival, saw Henry Normal, Johnny Dangerously, Lemn Sissay, Su Andi, Candy Flip. During the Madchester years. What a time to be alive”
