“I took my Dad to see Wild Ram at the Globe Hotel(now the Itchwood,the 'W's fell off the sign on the wall)in Ashton one Sunday lunchtime.He used to play drums in a jazz trio there in the 50's and wanted to see how much the place had changed.He was'nt too impressed and went in the taproom when Garrity started running about the place!!.”
