Artefact

An example of a 1984 advert from NME. This one features The Durutti Column, Wah, Lee Perry plus a Danceteria event featuring the legendary New York DJ Mark Kamins who helped launch the career of Madonna. He also did some remix work for Factory Records on the Quando Quango release 'Love Tempo'.

It's also spelt wrong on that big handwritten thing at the intro to the Urbis exhibition.

I remember meeting Ruth Polski from Danceteria whilst working at the Hac. Mike Pickering was 'instrumental' in all of the above connections with Danceteria and Mark Kamins ... good times hey and I even refused Madonnas bra!
