The Northern School of Music drama students stage Dear Octopus by Dodie Smith, at the Green Room Theatre (Little Peter Street). Dear Octopus is about how 3 generations that can never escape the clutches of its large family. Dorothy "Dodie" Gladys Smith was the author of 101 Dalmatians and was herself local to Manchester.

It's likely this was in the building that eventually became The Boardwalk. There was an alternative theatre space in the building in 1973 called 'The Green Room'. Huge coincidence if not.
