Letter
Ida Carroll, Geoffrey Griffiths
1938

Griff writes to Ida "under pressure - hence pencil" and promises that he will ferry some Italian books for her to some acquaintances of hers.
He mentions a photo she's sent him, assuring her she doesn't look fat but apologises that "I let down the whole theme by looking distinctly nigh-clubbish."
His writing ambitions persist, and he hopes to "return from the I[sle] o[f] W[ight] with several plots. Out first play may run for many months in London and provinces. I said may." That's the spirit.
