“Interesting that it says Friday 6th June, when the 6th was a Monday in 1977. It was definitely on a Friday. I remember the original Negatives playing with Kevin Cummins on drums, Paul Morley on guitar, Steve Burke (Shy) on bass and Dave Bentley on vocals. Jon the Postman sang Louis Louis with Warsaw sharing the mike with Peter Hook as I recall and Paul Morley kept shouting for "Sad So Sad" when the Drones were on, which they eventually played.”

“is this a fake? i dont remember anyone commenting on the date being wrong at the time also I am sure The Worst just turned up on the day and asked if they could play, we said no only because there was no room left on stage for any more kit [The Fall played too] so they set up on the floor in front of the stage with a Chad Valley drum kit and they blew me away. They were the best unrecorded band of the era thanks to Richard Boon messing them about - John Peel offered to lend me £100 to get a record out after he met them on Brass Tacks but it never happened due to RB saying he would do it. Wasn't this gig called ' stuff the jubillee?' Dave Bentley Drones manager”

“I seem to recall it was called something like "Stuff the Jubilee". Could this have been one produced by the SU? I am sure I heard about it by word of mouth at the time, so I don't recall seeing a poster, but the "Punk Rock Rules" and the "New Wave Night" do seem out of character.”
