I'd been excited about this event for weeks. I think it was my first Morrissey gig. It was a great set but the bully-boy contingent were rough company. I was bruised everywhere afterwards. There was a constant stream of fans trying to touch the hem of the Pope's cassock. My sister wept with joy when, for the encore, Moz appeared in a vintage Blackburn Rovers shirt.
