I think by this time there'd been ructions at the station and Mike Shaft, who founded the station, had been ousted; hence the reference.. I read in one of these papers he was later re-instated and so they all lived happily ever after.......
Always loved Soul Family Sensation's "Sheffield Song". Beautifully melancholy, capturing a real time and place. "....back to Sheffield....It was Wednesday"; that's quality!
It's a big call but reminds me of "Waterloo Sunset" for the same reason.......
